Adding a new AfD discussion

Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:

Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Africa|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.

The Native magazine source you linked here is primarily about the artist and not the song. Although it mentions the song and is a useful source, it is not enough to warrant a stand-alone article. I reviewed this article thrice to determine whether it is considered worthy of a Wikipedia entry. Firstly, I saw there were good sources as though a reviewer will do. I now checked the sources and almost a good percentage weren't reliable per WP:RS. Religion of sources and lack of WP:SIRS definitely defined this type of article.

In second checking for confirmation, I discovered so many sources lined her perhaps a single line other quote while addressing her as a worker at Penal. I would have said this should be redirected to the organisation page but didn't see any advocacy worthy enough for WP:ATD. Another subtle was drive by the award nomination. This cannot be called WP:ANYBIO since it was once nominated and wasn't won (it's is also a lesser award, thus not major like ANYBIO. I've therefore brought this to the table proper discussion. @User:Oaktree b, the sources you listed all were independent of the Ugandan academic Spire or nearer to that. However, one nominated award is never enough for a career that isn't established. For example, a writer that has written extensively and appeared in reaserch paper may be considered even with the writing and more when nominated for an award like this. In this context, however, the article doesn't meet GNG of her career or any significant impact or SIGCOV of her advocacy ad work. Arguing about an award that is not even won is likely biased for me. Comment: From the source presented, I don't see how this person won this award. She seem to be a runner up which didn't mean she won a significant award or has been invited for it many times (stated in WP:ANYBIO). While the sources listed by Oaktree b is about the announcement of the award, source 3 and source 4 still were about Dr. Spire who won the award, and little coverage of the runners up. Delete or Redirect to either Christian Malanga or United Congolese Party, as suggested above. A check of the sources shows little evidence that this is an independent concept. DW and Reuters refer only to a "head of government in exile" and mention "New Zaire" only as a name used by others. One of the AP sources does likewise and the other does not mention New Zaire at all. Giving it an article like this one gives New Zaire WP:UNDUE weight. I was not going to reply specifically to anyone in this discussion, but I have to now since I think you’re misinterpreting NACTOR. One thing is for the films they starred in to be notable, another thing is for their roles in the films to be significant. This is not the case here even in the tiniest bit. Aside from some interviews and passing mentions, there is not enough to fulfill WP:GNG. As she only had minor roles, WP:NACTOR is not fulfilled either. A redirect to List of Nigerian actors#Actresses as mentioned above is not feasible per WP:LISTPEOPLE. Non-notable subjects should not be included in lists of people. Weak delete. A Google search of the subject shows several newspaper sources that interviewed her. These type of sources are primary sources and cannot be used to establish notability. She has starred in multiple films that are notable, but as someone else pointed out, she did not have a major role in any of those films. I think this is a case of WP:TOOSOON. Subject does not appear to meet relevant notability guidelines and lacks non-trivial coverage from reliable publications. Steps were taken to locate said sources WP:BEFORE this nomination, but were not successful. Note that this article was previously nominated for deletion nearly a decade ago on September 2015, where there was limited discourse and the outcome was speedy keep.

Reviewing the history of this article, there also appears to be a running content dispute over the origin and application of this phrase. While this may be a plausible search term on the internet, I do not see valid sourcing to support this as an article or redirect on Wikipedia, hence my recommendation for deletion.

Weak keep There are some relevant sources on the phrase, El País, La Prensa (referring to the use of the phrase by President Salvador Allende), Icarito (La Tercera), Chile en el siglo XXI: ¿Nuevos recorridos artísticos, nuevos caminos históricos? ("Chile, donde el eslogan turístico reza 'tierra de poetas'"), Anales de la Universidad de Chile (used in 1861), Di/versos: Poesía queer autobiográfica, Crecimiento con equidad: discursos escogidos, 1992-1994 (President Patricio Aylwin), Escribir con estilo. While these do not go into detail in the phrase itself, these can be used as references as to the use of the phrase dating back to the XIX century. And I did not even use the Spanish translation in the article itself, "país de poetas" but "tierra de poetas". If we were to determine notability using the criteria that you have followed then we would be asking our selves;

Is Denis Toussaint Lesage is also notable or not? He was a successful deputy of his time
What is so special about that president of a certain country as there has been more presidents before him that have done great things?
What makes that CEO notable as their are people who have done what he has done.As in he founded a company but their are big companies than what he founded, etc
Does one being a member of a certain club, association or secret organisation make that person notable?

But according to the;

Wikipedia:Notability_(people)#Basic_criteria, He was covered by New Vision and also Daily Monitor which are national newspapers.
Wikipedia:Notability_(people)#Additional_criteria: Particularly the Any biography, he won the "The Business transformation leader" Award at the HR Reveal Awards 2021, if it was an easy to win award, then all Human Resource Managers would be having it, and Would Milton Owor not be included in the Biographical dictionary of Uganda?
I also believe that this article followed the WP:BLP that is particularly; Neutral point of view (NPOV), Verifiability (V), No original research (NOR) and also the WP:BLPSTYLE

@User:Oaktree b, the sources you listed all were independent of the Ugandan academic Spire or nearer to that. However, one nominated award is never enough for a career that isn't established. For example, a writer that has written extensively and appeared in reaserch paper may be considered even with the writing and more when nominated for an award like this. In this context, however, the article doesn't meet GNG of her career or any significant impact or SIGCOV of her advocacy ad work. Arguing about an award that is not even won is likely biased for me. Comment: From the source presented, I don't see how this person won this award. She seem to be a runner up which didn't mean she won a significant award or has been invited for it many times (stated in WP:ANYBIO). While the sources listed by Oaktree b is about the announcement of the award, source 3 and source 4 still were about Dr. Spire who won the award, and little coverage of the runners up.
