List of Arizona Coyotes broadcasters

This is a list of Arizona Coyotes broadcasters from the National Hockey League.

Television

As of the 2023–24 NHL season, Scripps Sports has regional television rights to the Arizona Coyotes. In the Phoenix market, games broadcast on KNXV-TV's Antenna TV-affiliated subchannel 15.2 serving as flagship station, with further affiliates planned for outlying areas of the team's designated market, which includes Utah and New Mexico. Partway through the season, KASW-TV became the flagship broadcast channel

From its move to Phoenix in 1996 to the end of the 2007–08 season, the regional television rights for Arizona Coyotes were split between Fox Sports Arizona and over-the-air broadcasters including KTVK and KASW (1996 - 2006) and KAZT-TV (2006 - 2008).

From the 2007–08 NHL season until the 2023–24 NHL season, Bally Sports Arizona (formerly Fox Sports Arizona) was the exclusive regional television rightsholder since 2008 for all Arizona Coyotes games not broadcast nationally by NBCSN, NBC, ESPN, ABC, or TNT.

On-air staff

Strader was hired by the Phoenix Coyotes on July 2, 2007. He was reunited with his former ESPN and ABC partner, Darren Pang, for Coyotes broadcasts for two seasons. With no television contract in place for Coyotes games, Pang left in 2009 to join the St. Louis Blues. Strader was joined in the broadcast booth by former NHL player Tyson Nash. In July 2011, Strader left his position with the Coyotes to accept a full-time job with NBC/Versus.

Matt McConnell is the current play by play announcer for the Arizona Coyotes.

Radio

In 2021, the Arizona Coyotes entered a two-year deal with Bonneville Phoenix to broadcast the team's games on the radio in the Phoenix market on either KMVP-FM or KTAR. In 2023, the Arizona Coyotes extended the deal with Bonneville Phoenix by one-year.

  • 98.7/KMVP-FM: Phoenix
  • 620/KTAR: Phoenix (when there is a conflict on KMVP-FM)
  • 92.3/KTAR-FM: Glendale (when there is a conflict on KTAR and KMVP-FM)

In 2019–20, KGME regained its contract as the flagship station of the Arizona Coyotes. Previously, the Coyotes games were broadcast on KMVP.
