Ellesmere Port and Bromborough (UK Parliament constituency)

Ellesmere Port and Bromborough is a proposed constituency of the House of Commons in the UK Parliament. Further to the completion of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, it will first be contested at the 2024 general election.

Boundaries

The constituency will be composed of the following (as they existed on 1 December 2020):

  • The Borough of Cheshire West and Chester wards of: Central & Grange; Ledsham & Manor; Netherpool; Strawberry; Sutton Villages; Westminster; Whitby Groves; Whitby Park; Wolverham.
  • The Metropolitan Borough of Wirral wards of: Bromborough; Eastham.

The seat will cover the majority of, and replace, the Ellesmere Port and Neston constituency, comprising the town of Ellesmere Port, with Neston now being included in the new seat of Chester North and Neston. It will be extended northwards to include the two Wirral Borough communities of Bromborough and Eastham from the abolished constituency of Wirral South. The two parts of the constituency are not internally connected by any public road or path.
