The women's 4 × 400 metres relay at the 2024 European Athletics Championships took place in two rounds at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, Italy on 11 and 12 June 2024. The two heats of round 1 were held on 11 June. The fastest three teams and the two fastest of the rest qualified for the final. National records were set by the Spanish, Swedisch, and Norwegian teams. The final was held on 12 June. The race was won by the Netherlands in 3:22.39 minutes, followed by Ireland in 3:25.25 minutes, and Belgium in 3:22.95 minutes. National records were set by the Irish and Italian teams.

Round 1

The two heats of round 1 were held on 11 June, starting at 11:15 (UTC+2) in the morning. The first three teams in each heat (Q) and the next two fastest teams (q) qualify for the final. There were three national record set in this round, a Spanish record of 3:25.25 minutes, a Swedish record of 3:26.05 minutes, and a Norwegian record of 3:29.84 minutes.

Final

The final was held on 12 June, starting at 21:05 (UTC+2) in the evening. The team from the Netherlands finished first in a European leading time of 3:22.39 minutes, followed by the team from Ireland in second place in an Irish record of 3:22.71 minutes and the team from Belgium in third place in 3:22.95 minutes. The team from Italy set a new Italian record of 3:23.40 minutes.
