DreamWorks

DreamWorks Pictures (juga dikenali sebagai DreamWorks SKG dan dahulunya DreamWorks Studios, biasanya dirujuk sebagai DreamWorks) ialah sebuah syarikat Amerika penerbitan filem dan label Amblin Partners. Ia diasaskan pada 12 Oktober 1994 sebagai studio filem aksi langsung asli oleh Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg dan David Geffen (bersama-sama, SKG), yang mana mereka memiliki 72%. Studio itu dahulunya mengedarkan filemnya sendiri dan filem pihak ketiga. Ia telah menghasilkan atau mengedarkan lebih daripada sepuluh filem dengan kutipan box-office lebih daripada $100 juta setiap satu.

Pada Disember 2005, pengasas bersetuju untuk menjual studio itu kepada Viacom, ibu bapa kepada Paramount Pictures. Jualan telah selesai pada Februari 2006 (versi ini kini dinamakan DW Studios). Pada tahun 2008, DreamWorks mengumumkan hasratnya untuk menamatkan perkongsiannya dengan Paramount dan membuat perjanjian untuk menerbitkan filem dengan Reliance Entertaiment India, semula -mencipta DreamWorks Pictures sebagai entiti bebas. Pada tahun berikutnya, DreamWorks memeterai perjanjian pengedaran dengan Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, di mana Disney akan mengedarkan filem DreamWorks melalui Touchstone Pictures; perjanjian itu diteruskan sehingga 2016. Sejak 2016, filem DreamWorks dipasarkan dan diedarkan oleh Universal Pictures. Pada masa ini, DreamWorks beroperasi di luar pejabat di Universal Studios Hollywood.

DreamWorks juga berbeza daripada bekas bahagian animasi dengan nama yang sama, yang telah dipisahkan pada tahun 2004 dan menjadi anak syarikat NBCUniversal pada tahun 2016. Syarikat Spielberg terus menggunakan tanda dagangan DreamWorks asal di bawah lesen daripada DreamWorks Animation.
